Omega Protein is the largest manufacturer of liquid fish protein in the world. During our processing of whole fresh menhaden, all fish are pressed or squeezed through a screw press which separates the liquid (oil and water) from the solid content.
The oil is then removed and the water and soluble protein faction is concentrated to a finished product of a thick flowable liquid. The product is then stored in tanks until time of the shipment when it is screened for feed or fertilizer use. Liquid fish is available in rail tank cars, bulk truckloads, 55-gallon drums, or totes.
